Wildcard round winners

In 28th September episode, we learn that following are the winners from wild card round.
1. Toshi
2. Arshpreet
3. Priyani
4. Prantik
It is interesting to note that those guest judges did not select Abhaas. Apparently, Jatin used the ‘veto power’ and brought Abhaas in as well. I should note here that last week when I posted a poll about who performed well in wild card episode, lot of readers voted for Prantik (around 25% votes compared to 31% votes for Toshi). So I must say that readers of my site understand what good music is about.
Abhijeet also asked to give Sumitra another chance in wild card round and Gajendra confirmed that. So on Saturday, 29th September, we will have performances by following contestants:
Toshi, Priyani, Prantik, Sumitra, Abhaas, Arshpreet.
I think it would be REALLY difficult to select one participant from these 5 contestants. Let’s see how it goes.

It is weird that those judges did not select Abhas. Anyway, at least some sense has prevailed over Jatin ji who brought him in also.
Sangeen shukravaar was less sangeen because of the elimination (Sumitra took it well; kudos to her) and more because of Abhijit’s rude behavior towards Ishmeet. I am not a fan for Ishmeet but still emphathized with his position and felt bad for him. I can only imagine what must be going through the mind of his fans who may just unite and vow to bring him back like never before.
In fact in today’s episode everyone’s performance except Ishmeet was not up to par. Irfan was may be a close second, but Ishmeet was the winner whether the judges accept it or not.
I wish toshi comes back. I would be happy.
I wish Toshi gets back in the competition…..He along with Irfan are the the top 2 in the male category. As much as i like Abhijeet boosting the morale of singers…..i was disappointed by his indirect taunting of Ishmeet even though i tatally agree with Abhijeet that Ishmeet is a very mediocre singer…..unfortunately its public voting so such remarks r inappropriate. Ishmeet showed his humbleness by keeping his mouth shut while Abhijeet showed arrogance by opening his mouth wide open. I am afraid Ishmeet may end up getting more sympathy votes now and Abhijeet is gonna regret when one of the better singers than Ishmeet gets the boot.
I wish to come back again in the competiton. Because in my eye and judgement Toshi is the best of all contestants participated in the VOI. He possess extra ordinary voice quality which is comletely God Gifted. Toshi can’t be eliminated from the competition so early.

I think involving 6 contestants for wild card entry will fail the judges intension of bringing back good singers..and this will happen because of the regional voting..PRANTIK(west bengal)..SUMITRA(mumbai)..HARSPREET(panjabee gudi) will get better regional support..where as better singers like AVAAS and TOSHI will be voted out coz they always had less support from their areas.
SO FANS OF AVAAS AND TOSHI MUST VOTE AS MUCH AS THEY CAN AND BRING THEM BACK.
I think the entire idea of a wild card entry is one of the most bizzare things I’ve come across in a competition. By virtue of giving a second chance to any candidate who has been selected out through a free and fair voting system is absolutely unfair of those remaining. Just think about it. What happens when next week some one from the remaining 4 so far (Hismeet, Hershit, Abhilasha and Irfan)gets voted out… Will they be allowed back in? If no, its going to be utterly unfair on them who really deserve to compete after coming so far. If yes, well then we will just never see the end of this show
Furthermore, the negative role the judges have played in this matter is unacceptable. Clearly shows lack of spirit on thier part. Hope the manager of the show takes notice of this and does away with the wild card entry nonsense all together.
Two things on my mind. Firstly, Abhijit singling out Ishmeet wasnt a very smart idea. Not because it was bad or good, but because this will only instigate Ishmeet’s supporters to vote for him even more. But I so hope that the smart people out there listen to Abhi and vote him out. Even though he did a good job, better than the rest in the latest episode I feel he is a very one dimensional singer and can only sing soft songs. If it ever comes to fast track he lacks the energy which can be heard in his voice as well as seen in his body language. I’m no music expert (in fact I cannot sing to save my life) but I think Ishmeet cannot sing songs at the level of Toshi, Irfan, Abhaas or even Harshit. Imagine him trying to sing Piya Re, Teri Diwani, Dil Se, Chaturnaar or the medley of Chand Mera Dil. Oh man that would be his last day on the show for sure. His songs lack variety and there is no doubt that he is the weakest participant and should be rightfully voted OFF. Shouldn’t even have been in the top 12 to begin with. (Remember when every judge gave him a 6 or 7 but by some miracle Aadesh’ 10 saved him. Big mistake Aadesh!)
Secondly, I am surprised Prantik got chosen over Aabhas. Cmon judges I thought you’d know better. I mean there’s the most respectable panel of judges sitting there and they chose him inspite of him failing at a very basic level - pronunciations!
This guy is a bengali and so am I. And most of the bengal population cannot pronounce hindi words very well. Although Prantik barely falters at this, most words with ‘i’ are mispronounced. Like ‘dil’ from the Sonu Nigam episode and ‘din’ from the wildcard ep. He may be a good singer (a decent one) but you can’t be the VOI if you can’t pronounce India’s national/ most widely spoken language properly!
Prantik is better that Ishmit and Abilasha for sure.

Abhaas rocks, that’s for sure. He has the most amazing voice. I don’t know why the public voted him out.

Competition is between Abhas, Harshit, Toshi and Priyani. But I have to admit that Abhas seems to be more talented amongst guys while Priyani amongst gals. Abhas and Priyani have always attempted to sing different and tough songs and have shown verstality which harshit and toshi are lacking. Toshi is no doubt an amazing singer but he has sung a certain kind of songs only, specially sufi songs. Even in the wild card round he sang what I was sure that he will sing…that sing from kacche dhage which suits him best. His voice suits Nusrant Fatah Ali Khan style only. Another thing is that on low pitch his voice sometimes stumbles. In terms of voice quality, amongst guys we can only compare Harshit and Abhas…both stands equal i believe. Harshit is better than Toshi on any given day. If he shows some verstality then he is giving true fight to Abhas. I am not sure about Harshit yet (even though I agree that he is already a star singer of today) but Abhas is truly of the likes of Mohd. Rafi / kishore Kumar. I would decide between Abhas / Harshit for no. 1 and 2. 3rd is Priyani and 4th is Toshi 5th is Arshpreet.

I am SAQIB from Pakistan, I think All the singers in VOI are good and Talented but everyone is finding the BEST one and the best singers in VOI is TOSHI, IRFAN and HARSHIT. The Competition is in between of these 3 guys. but I like TOSHI and IRFAN in 3 them.
PLEASE VOTE FOR TOSHI AND BRING HIM BACK. INSHALLAH TOSHI WILL GET IN SOON.
I like TOSHI because his singing has a great power. and IRFAN is good because He has a great Stamina for Singing, his Singing is POP singing While TOSHI will become a CLASSICAL SINGER.
Hi, i have been following the VOI since it started, and appreciate the singin abilities of all the singers. however, the only thing i dont understand is how come abhilasha has reached the first four…she has faltered most of the times on the show..! i think she has unjustified , undue support from the judges which mislead people to believe that she is a good singer….i completely want her out from the show since Day 1..another thing, which is very strange is that everytime she is in “Chakrawat”, she gets out of it, with immense confidence,and fake expressions of stress, which STRONGLY suggest “SOMETHING’s FISHY” !! I so want her to BE OUTTTTT of the show!!!
FACT: Ishmeet was chosen by the judges to be in the Bemisaaal 12. Why did Abhijeet not object then??
POSSIBILTY:They just used Ishmeet, by letting him get this far, to get people’s money through sms votes for him. Now, because he has made it this far, they are afraid that a SIKH might actually win (heaven forbid). Unfortunately, it appears that racism still exists in peoples hearts. Did you see that hatered in Abhijeet’s eye’s when he told Ishmeet to basically “tell your people”?. A typically racist thing to say , by the way.
THEN: This whole thing was a scam and stinks of racism.
CURE: Everybody just stop voting all together (because they,the judges, will never let a Punjabi/Sikh win) , so that they no not get any more of people’s money. In fact, I think that is the reason that they are bringing other singers that were legitimately voted out (or should I say, not voted in) by the public.
Ultimately, it is the public who is going to buy tickets to see the movies, listen to the songs etc… But these judges seem to think we, the public, know nothing. Remember, it is ONLY the public that can make or break a singer. Yes, Abhijeet, even you!!
My personal opinion is that Ishmeet is not as trained as some of the other contestants. He does, however, have a beautiful voice that would make him a great playback singer (REMEMBER, Kishore Kumar did not have much formal training either). Ishmeet just needs to continue his riyaaz.
Remember, they are giving chances to other participants. Example, Abhilasha “oh, she is young, she has a lot of potential” even though she is very nervous at times and it shows in her singing. Example, Harshit, even though he forgot his lines at this late in the contest, they are still giving him chances.
I admit that Toshi is a great singer but he will not make a good playback singer because he does not have the “rass” in his voice. I am not saying his voice is bad. It is very good….for singing only certain type of songs. I think that because Ishmeet has such a sweet voice, he has the potential, with training and practice, to make a great singer. I think that if somebody does not have a sweet voice, he can practice and practice and become a great singer… from a technical point of view(which is what the judges are looking at mostly). They will never win people’s hearts.
Hey…. Toshi you are the best… i have tears in my eyes whenever i hear you sing…. your voice has not only reached our hearts but it is living in our hearts….!!! please all u guys vote for toshi…. he is the best…. tk cr….
These judges have given too much favourism to Priyani,
She was not selected in the first round but againg came to Mumbai.
Even while selecting top 12 out of 14 she didn’t sang well but still got selected.
Now finally she got selected in top 4 in wild card entry, this shows there is all predecided.
Sunitra who sings better is being eliminated.
Now i don’t feel like watching Star voice of india at all.
I have to say, that I could not agree with you in 100% regarding ard round winners : Star Voice Of India Show, but it’s just my opinion, which could be wrong
