There were some nice surprises. We have respected Kavita Krishanmurthy-ji on stage to sing duet with Ishmit and Harshit. Then we have Kunal Ganjawala. And then Gayathri Iyer. All the star singers sang with Ishmit and Harshit and there were some good performances.
My favorite? Ishmit and Kunal’s Bheegay Honth Tere.

I agree with u and I think Ishmit is growing in confidence day by day. He seemed having a clear edge over Harshit in todays performances.
As u mentioned in some of ur old posts, the voting game seems fixed.
It was bizzare again by Gajji to promote regional bias by showing the %votes from different zones OR it was another effort to demorolise Ishmeet which in any way is shame and should be condemned. My point is that if u r promoting this show as voice of India (in competetion with SRGMP’s kind of global show) then what the hell u r doing in creating regional bias??? Gajji is not doing any favor to music and himself by creating all this drama just to earn more money thru sms game. I am not from India but a great admiror of Indo-pak music. Music is such an eternal force which closes the gaps and brings the people together without considering the boundaries. Its really frustrating to see the producers are trying to split the people just for the sake of making money, what a pity…
I wish Ishmeet wins not for the reason he is from North but he has the original and melodious voice which comes from heart and goes straight to heart as commented by Kunal in todays episode.

I fully agree with my predecessor. Giving percentage of votes at this stsge was immature. To make the competetion unbaised, it should not
have been disclosed.
Both the singers are excellent and are competing very well. The fight is very interesting. But the judges (you understand whom i am referring) some times showed partisan and seemed promoting regionalism.
Ishmit has an edge over Harshit. Ishmit’s voice is more clear and more melodius. Harshit, is of course, equally good, but he is overall 49%.
Hey Buddies just see its reality that harshit is 3 times better than ishmit and all neutral votes show that if you minus votes of punjab ishmit is not going to get even 10% votes so it is clear that harshit is actual voice of india but he is even if he looses just cause of biased voting and even ishmit should no this that if you compare all over india Harshit is Voice of india any day any time and i hope he will win today
harshit’s lead in the three zones are also because of religious biases. The South, East and West zones are comprise mainly of Hindu communities and its pretty clear that hindus will side with a hindu contestant as punjabis do with ishmeet.
is it punjab versus rest of india? majority of people still discrimate people from an ethinic minority.

Very simple to claim discrimination from majority, what about SIkhs voting for ishmeet only because he’s a Sikh. Its not punjab against rest of India, punjab itself has 40% hindu!!. Easy to claim discrmination even when its obviously not. So many Hindus were elimintaed from the competition already, also Ishmeet got 51% versus 49% of harshit, thaths what is important
Harshit voice is melodious he can sing everytype of songs. in voice of india harshit has sang ek hasi nathi, phirita rahno, rim jim, hare krishna hare rama that will hit for ever and memorable . He should be the voice of india

Dear J let me on behalf of many music lovers and myself thank you for your hard work and keeping us updated with this website.Secondly,I guess the time has come to say good byes with this show and truly when I reflect back to the time it was started up to now , I will miss this show. God bless all of its participants specialy the 12 ( bimesal bara).
@every one who participated in exchange of ideas about a performance or a particular participant of the show: you guys contributed to the excitment of the show equaly as the orginial show producers. I have to admite that I will miss reading excellent comments of you about music. I learned so much from you guys and there is no doubt that India is the land of music and music lovers.
Since tomorow is the final, lets forget our personal ethnocentrism, prejudice and baist,and vote any of these two singers for thier talent and voice.

hey guys, im watchin the finals…its kinda ok..i watched it just to c toshi..he has straightened his hair…hehehe…looks gud but i preferred his original curls.. its kinda obvious tht harshit will win but u never kno…i will miss this site n the show as well..its just tht i wish i get to c tosi again on tv or watever… by the way madhuri prefers ishmeet…hehehehe…awesome!!! tc ppl…bye bye…

ishmeet was better in all the performances. he was different singer all together. he was critised for singing simple songs (thats shame whoever said that) but have a look now he sung Bheegay Honth Tere and other songs he was amazing. i like his kisnaaa rayyyy rayyy kisna ray that was excellent …. and well Bheegay Honth was excellent. . whoever wins but atleast Ishmeet have proved what he is capable of and if the results are fixes than thats a shame and i didnt like the idea abt disclosing the results regionwise thats stupid. India is one and let it be one lets not divide into north south east west. Some ppl are dodo’s they dont understand but i request to all let not make this musical competition into religious competition.

Ishmeet is VOPunjab not VOIndia but Toshi, Abhas and Harshit is VOIndia in the real sense.
i think Toshi was pathetic,thats why public slaped him not once!, but twice…i think now he will remain in the “Gandgi” he belongs to…for rest of his life!.

Its a great victory, ishmeet is a fantastic singer and will go a long way.
Have bad news for you Sonu. Toshi is not in the gandagi anymore. He is singing for more music directors than any of the other contestants. Where music is concerned, leave it to the experts and time will show the choice of the experts. Toshi was too good for VOI anyway.
Karla, i do not know what is the hype sorrounding toshi. He is any average singer and can excel only in sufi type of singing.This fact was also proven by him being eliminated quite early in the contest

the way we fight over a silly programme like VOI shows even now we can get immature and attack people on religious and ethnic basis.
this is just a tv show lets enjoy it.
overall its very obvious even to the die hard punju supporters that ishmeet is an average singer and harshit is miles better than him.
and when all the dust and hype settles harshit will end up smiling cos he will get better career offers than ishmeet.

Pammi, if you think Toshi can sing only sufi type songs you either have not really heard him sing or have are not very well versed with music. It takes a special person and special voice to create such hype.
And some of you have shown your ignorance by thinking people love him for his religion. There are thousands of us who love him for what he is and what talent the Lord has graced him with.

Hey J, Thanxx for all the videos. Although I have not watched a single episode since Irfan’s elimination, I just saw glimpses of the finale and I must say that it totally rocked! Especially the return of the eliminated contestants/fallen angels.. Please do include Irfan’s performance of Alvida in your “Best Performances Category”. He was simply flawless and the live band did full justice to his voice

My all time favorite was masha allah, mauja hi mauja, jab se tere naina and so many others. You have a natural voice and you are not a copy of Kishore kumar or kumar sanu. You have a distinct voice and it touches people’s heart. On top of all, your beautiful and innocent personality.You are the new craze in girls today even Bipasha basu said that you are very handsome and sexy.

Harshit was good but now all the ppl who hated and gave negative comments about ishmeet should be fealing this one up there A@# !!!…..Ishmeet After what happend to u on this show you deserve this win ! …..this was not about music ne more as i was a irfan fan and still am but this show turned into a circus and it was turned into being Muslim ,Sikh , Hindu and then Regions …..and Seeing A sikh person singing melodius songs was just a shocker for alot of the janta of india ! ….and most of them didn’t like it because there not use to the idea of a sikh singing melodius song … that has to do with bollywood image and the way the show a sikh person on screen ! ….well all is good now india will know what a sikh singing sensation is all about !
All this anti-Ishmeet commentary is sickening. Last I knew Punjab is part of India and the population of Punjab is a small fraction of the population of India. You complain of Gajji’s regionalism while you are yourselves propagating the same. Why can’t some people accept that there are many people who actually prefer Ishmeet to Harshit and, perhaps, Toshi and Abhaas. Let’s face it, public voting is just not the most accurate way of determining the best singer. What is? Judges?? Perhaps, but with judges like Lalit and Aadesh who can say.
Remember that there can be only one winner. Even if Ishmeet were not there, Toshi, Abhaas and Harshit could not all win; only one of them. And who would the judges have picked? Or you, Vipul and Sohail?
It was as predicted. All the mediocre singers won in all the 3 shows.

Mohsin, while I agree with you n general, Raja Hassan did not hold a candle to Amanat who was by far the best singer on SRGMP 2007. See, we all fall into the same trap.
It is so shameful to read these comments about two begginers singers. we blame britishers that they divided us and ruled. we Indians will never be united and rule over the World. Our competetions are not based on talent & art, they are based on religion,cast and looks. Please be educated and enjoy the shows. You can not stop somebody to reach their Destiny. Forget Ismit …forget Harshit those are are Bakwas let us cheer for Jury awarded to Abhaaas. He is the real voice of India. Lukhnow and Punjabi guy were “Noise of India” Actual Winners are [1] Abhass [2] Irfaan and [3] Toshi [4] Abhilasha [5] Prantik and so on…..Ismit and Harshit should be at #9 and #10 i think thats the right place for them. They should become good politicians who knows how get votes not real claps from real music understanding people of our nation. The Grand Finale was more like a advertisement for Madhuri Dixit’s Comeback Celebration and everything other than music was there on the stage (except Great Latajee’s presence) the whole SVOI was messed up by bad voting and wrong guys in the final. It was such a painful for Lataji to listen these 2 guys in the final….real shame for the reality show like this. I could see sadness on the face of Alkajee and other Judges about good participants departure before final. Surprisingly Abhijit Da was also absent from the show…Everybody knows why is it happened.
Shaan was always saying with joy on the stage with his famous slogun “Sacche Suro ki Jajaykaar” but Looking at the result we can say it was “Kachhe suro ki Jayjaykar” and yes it was a wondeful game of SMS voting, money making, advertising for new pictures releases. “ye sab dekh ke Jatin jee wali Maa Saraswati ki kasam wali Saraswati Devi to kab ki disappear ho chuki thi is shows se becuase they have eliminated wonderful singers like Abhaas , Toshi and Irfaan”
Please stop this Regional bias, Religion Bias, Voting Game. Do not play this shameful games for your mere money making attitude. HarHar Mahadev and Sat shree Akal sloguns at the stage of of “Maa saraswati” creats impression for Regional and Regious differences.
What a great Joke Ismit made just before result came he said on the stage “After winning SVOI award I will learn how to sing Classical” it’s really horrible statement. Paajee mai to kehta hu ki agar next year 2008 me tumhe chance mile phir bhi ye sikhna tumhare bas ki baat nahi. Please join some political party for how to get votes for them from punjab. SVOI was converted from Musical program to Laughter challange program…thats what looks like from the Final Results.
