Hi Friends,
Looks like I set up a new record in updating the site. Even though I uploaded the videos on Sunday itself, I am finally getting time today to make relevant posts on the website. So if you have still not watched latest episode of your favorite show, click here to see the videos of Banaras Special Episode.
Other than Ravikishan’s fantastic commentary, this episode was pretty boring. Watch and decide for yourself.
Dear reader Rovino was very upset that I did not update the site and said that I am acting ‘unprofessional’. All I can say is that I had some long work hours at office [Remember, I have a full time job just like many of you.] and hence the delay in updating the site. I hope you will understand.
And yes, as of the Sunday’s episode, Ishmit has 20% more votes than Harshit. Obviously, it was a cheap move by Gaji to show these statistics and gather in as many SMSes as he could.
BTW, Why does anyone spend hundreds of rupees to send these SMSes? Even though I love the show and I really like some contestant, I don’t think I will spend more than 10 rupees per episode. I think my hard earned money has some better uses. What say?
There are lot of speculations going on about the finale episode, I will post them as soon as I get chance.

I found 17th nov. episode to be really nice. Really enjoyed “Khai ke Paan Banaras….” Also Harshit did a vote appeal for Ishmit …. that was very nice.

I applaud u for the wonderful service provided by u and hey its ok if ur late in uploading the shows.
By the way why in the heck do these contestants keep on singing the same freaking songs. Its like theres a shortage of songs in Bollywood.
I hope they sing some evergreen songs in the presence of Lataji.
This episode:
The only performance I enjoyed was Ishmeet’s ‘Awara ik Banjara’. I am not sure if I have heard this song, what movie is it from? Is it a Jackie Sheroff’s song? But the song has never been sung in any of the shows I have watched and was quite different from what Ishmeet normally sings, dont know what Jatin and Aadesh were moaning about.
Anyways ‘Pan Banaras Wala’ and ‘Dil Da Mamla’ were not that good. The latter lacked the intensity Toshi put in during the Konkana Sen episode, when he teamed up with Harshit.

My predictions for final: Ishmeet will end up with slightly more votes than Harshit but since Lata ji’s opinion counts the other 50%, Harshit will win.
More importantly, I am waiting to see if all the 12 come back for the finals, wont like to miss Toshi last performance.
Awh and a question for J, how long are you planning to leave this site on here ? Please leave Toshi, Irfaan, Abhaas and Arshpreet’s pages, I would really appreciate.
My sincere thanks to you ‘J’ for all the effort ?& time you spend on this site..for many of us..esp, after when you feel nothg is left in the show..other than waiting for final 12 to be on the VOI stage back again……….

The performances were all recorded. They were not singing Live. What a shame!

its suprising to see only one comment on the performances being PRE-RECORDED. this isn;t the first time it has happened. Such tricks go to show the standard of this show and likewise that of the audience who dosen’t even bother to notice.

I recently read an article in which they had interviewed Ishmit and Harshit on how they feel reaching the finals, and what preparations they are doing etc etc… guess what…… Harshit simply has thanked his parents for the support and encouragement, there was no mention of his blind dadi on whose sympathy he has gained so many votes. Mind you, I amnot saying he doesnt sing well, but if he has used his dadi to gain sympathy votes, at least she deserves a mention at the final stage!!!

Well as per the informations Toshi is the one who is a favourite for Gajji and Judges that is why they have created a drama of Wild card entry , the next favourite contestant for Judges is Aabhas, they are always praising him that he is too young just 18 years….so what?
Sunindhi Chauhan became VOI when she was 13 through Meri Aawaj Suno..
So i personally belive they do not prefer Harshit as he is from small city Lucknow or whatever the reasons are …
What i believe every contestant is having a different qualities
TOSHI i think is a good singer i have seen his live performances as well but somehow i believe he is good in singing Qawwallis and sufiyana songs (Sorry if i offended anyone)..he is a star ……
IRFAN .. I think is a very good singer specially in songs like of Metro and Gangster genre he lacks only with romantic songs… (Again sorry if i offended)
AABASH … He is a sweetheart but again on high pitch he always fall flat no doubt he sung Mitwa very well….and overdose of affection showing by judges always affect permormance…
HARSHIT …. Harshit is singing quite well now a days.. performances like ” Hare ram from Bhulbhulaiya and Hip Hop songs he really excel ..again when he sing romantic songs like TUM MILE GUL KHILE from Criminal …absolutely fabulous…..minus point what i feel it is not good for any show to present his or her social status or financial problem or gaining an upper edge on that, well no doubt after his GRANDMA episode he gain sympathy but not VOTES because public is smart now a days but i belive he is quote a versatile singer.
ISHMEET: …Initially when show starts i become a fan of this guy but slowly as the show progress i loose interest in Ishmit …( He is very good in singing a romantic songs of Shaan or anyone but whenever a song requires a high pitch he falls flat)(Sorry again if i offended)
Lastly i must say that AMIT PAUL is a better singer than Prashant
RAJA is better than ANEEK ( SRGMP)
Waqt se pehle aur kismat se zyada , kisi ko kuch nahin milta ….. Every singer is having a unique style if Kishore da is a good singer , then Mukesh , Rafi and other singer are also good everyone is having a different style
SO guys purpose is that please dont compare singers…..We cannot compare Rahat ali khan singing with Kailash Kher singing, Hockey and Cricket, Tennis Match and 100 Meter race…every one is having target audience and different interest level…

you have to be really good to be a favourite of such big music directors and singers. Alka is a great singer and she also has said loud and clear that Harshit is her favourite. Their favourite means he must be the best. It is no joke to be a favourite of such celebrities.
So all of you, who have been whiny about Harshit being the favourite of judges - stop whining and start voting for him. He will be the VOI for sure. Atleast you guys will feel that you guys also conributed to his success. Selection will be 50% weightage to voting and 50% Lata Ji. And all of us know who sings better out of those two. So please come out of your denial modes….

Man I am sorry , I didn’t know that you are doing this site for fun. I always thought its professional. Listen buddy its great and you kept some people busy and made their interest in music. I don’t care who wins but I can see and feel the reaction of the fans and some time I laugh and some times I saw the F-LANGUGE and felt bad that fans can go that far. Its nothing wrong to give boost to the bottom one. All of a sudden the guy won the heart of most india and abroad. I am talking about Ishmit. Believe me ALL MIGHTY GOD IS WITH HIM AND ALMIGHTY POWER IS IN FANS. This is the reason he is there today. Tell me if I am wrong. Again man you are doing a good job and not making any money from this site.

well folks. long time i couldnt write anything as i lost all my damn interest in VOI the day Toshi left the show. but than after reading a few comments i decided to see the show and guess what, ITS A FLOP Written all over it, Gujji is pathetic as he knew he had to make Harshit VOI so he tried every book in the trick to do that, if people wouldnt have done what they did, we would have missed Abhas and toshi long while ago. but Thanks to People of india. so i was on the node when i saw the performances from both. and swear to God am not being surcastic they were all ODD. i mean they were below standard and specially the way jatin and Lalit using the swearing thing going on for Harshit. if you like him so much dudes get him sing a song for you, may be do him an album, but dont make VOI a joke to all of us.
Also a request to you “J” please let Toshi live on your site forever. VOI may come and Go but singers like TOSHI are forever.

i think i am the oldest person on your website.I think most of you are youngsters,college going or working.I am a housewife with school going kids and we used to enjoy reading the comments on this website and listen to the videos.i think all of us had (and some still have) our favourites in this show.Although,we are a sikh family but our favourites have always been toshi,irfan and abhass and among the girls,sumitra.Now the show has lost its charm and there is no more enthusiasm to watch it. kids are only waiting to see their fav. participants perform in the finals. We want to thank you for maintaining this site so well and the fantastic previews you had written when toshi/irfan were in the show. And also some of the comments of zaki,AS and a lot others were excellent.felt very sad for these talented singers but its all luck and destiny.

As for saying whether this or that is best, of the top 6 or 7 (i include Arshpreet here) all are very good in their own way. Time (and hardwork on their singing) will tell if they make it or not.
I found it interesting that a lot of the same numbers sung by Poonam in SRGMP and Arshpreet in SVOI. I like them both, but how different they are!
Harhit has a lot of talent, Ishmeet has a natural voice that is beautiful, but he does seem to lack power sometimes…that could also be due to a lack of training. Music is 90% work, work, work. So all the best to all the contestants for giving us quality singing and an entertaining programme!

Harshit was good but now all the ppl who hated and gave negative comments about ishmeet should be fealing this one up there A@# !!!…..Ishmeet After what happend to u on this show you deserve this win ! …..this was not about music ne more as i was a irfan fan and still am but this show turned into a circus and it was turned into being Muslim ,Sikh , Hindu and then Regions …..and Seeing A sikh person singing melodius songs was just a shocker for alot of the janta of india ! ….and most of them didn’t like it because there not use to the idea of a sikh singing melodius song … that has to do with bollywood image and the way the show a sikh person on screen ! ….well all is good now india will know what a sikh singing sensation is all about !
Ishmeet is no doubt the amul star voice of india, but Harshit is popular voice of india based on popularity ratio 3:1 (east,west,south:north).
I prefer voting to be more fare, strictly one per each mobile much like our elections.
I like both of them, hope we had star voices of india, male star voice of india,female star voice of india. Music is universal, no country, state or religion should be considered for voting.

I specifically remember I replied to this comment yesterday. Once again, my dear the final was between Harshit & Ishmeet. Why are you stuck up on Toshi.
