Woohoo. For this episode, I am on time, I have uploaded all the videos of 16th November.
I am not going to comment on individual performances because I don’t think it’s worth it.
The whole episode was full of….hm…what words can I use to describe this episode? Hippocrate. Pretentious. Childish.
Generally I am a big fan of Shaan and I think he is a great host but today he was asking question like ‘Who is better singer among Ishmit and Harshit’? in front of Ludhiana crowd. Then they made both Ishmit and Harshit sing the same song and asked ‘Who sang it better?’. I mean, what answer is he expecting? Does he even care for the answer? I could not stand his questions, Jatin and Alka’s useless dialogues and audience’s overwhelming enthusiasm.
Don’t take me wrong, I love Ishmit and his voice, but the kind of craziness people of Ludhiana are showing is beyond my imagination. I mean, do people get so united, so up-beat about someone just because he belongs to their own region? Somehow I am unable to do it.
Actually episode was not that bad. I think Ishmit was rocking today. I wish he sang with this kind of ‘open’ voice and energy during the contest. I think he was fantastic in Mauja Mauja. I felt that Harshit’s performances were average. Check them out and enjoy your weekend.

I think the people of Ludhiana are not supporting Ishmeet just because of regional reasons, but because of the fact that Ishmeet had to face so much racial abuse at the hand of judges and still he managed to reached to the top 2. Thats what makes him special.But lait & aadesh r still continuing their racist attacks on this innocent boy, which is not only shameful but highly deplorable.
Very True …. racial attack on ishmeet by the judges and his calm and motivation to prove them wrong has deeply stuck to the hearts of people not only in punjab but all over india and world. specially north america as we watch this show.
well ishmeet was on top of his voice today , he really rocked . Excellent performance.
ppl get united for what u do or have done not for who u r. Ishmeet is a good singer and he is in final 2 so that means he is better than others and not bez of “kismat” as judges said. And u have to make yr own “kismat” u dont get anyhing sitting home with yr arms folded. And punjab population is just 2% of my diverse and rich cultural INDIA so plz be reasonable before u say anything.

Dear J…..you need to come to ludhiana to know punjab better. I am sorry for you that still you can not understand big hearted punjabi people. I think you could not swallow such warm welcome shown by punjabis to the art of singing. Every face in ludhiana was cheerful and enjoyed and whereas in banaras dead bodies were trying to smile…………Just compare the faces of audiences and you will understand the difference between punjabis and bhaiyyaaas……

I’m really pissed off at the judges from UP- Adesh, Jatin, Lalit. Their ignorant and racist remarks against u and how calmly u behave make u my fav. contestant. The ppl from UP think that they have a birthright to every privilege in India - be it a singing compitition or the seat of PM( Note the comment made by that clown raju shrivaastav). And i really liked it when Abhijeet Da stopped Jatin from saying that “Punjab to poore India mein phella hua hai”. Abhijeet corrected him saying that “UP to poore prithivi aur akaash mein phella hua hai”. And i hated it when Lalit refered to the votes Ishmeet gets as anap-shnap votes!!!!!!. I’m from the South and I know how the ppl from Hindi speaking states treat/think of other states.

I’m actually surprised to see people playing into the hands of editors of this show. I mean not surprised but shocked!! I was there at the show.
Can’t people realise that almost all of the songs sung by Harshit n Ishmeet were not being sung live. These songs are recorded previously in studios and then played with the singers lipsyncing on the stage. Otherwise, how can they sing so many songs in one go and that too brilliantly under so much pressure. These young kids do not have the stamina of Sonu or other professionals right now.
Secondly, while everyone is arguing over the hoarse noise of the Ludhiana crowd, the crowd was quite silent. All kinds of crowd roarings in Saregamapa and even so many award shows are pre-recorded and added while editing the show. They are never so loud anywhere, in studio or in the event grounds.
Hope sense prevails now.
i am stuck to music just go above and see what people have written im not racist im a music buff but this forum and views made me write what all has written my best pals are punjabis so im not racist im against fanaticism trust me if one person one vote was possible this show would have seen some thing else i mean harshit abhas and irfan or even sumitra i have seen participant from SVOI prasing harshit( abhas and priyani) in aaj tal interview so its knows fact who is better i hope i made my point again i have not written to hurt anyones emotion i apolige for that if it did
Being a Ludhianvi myself, I must add one more thing. While I agree that Ludhiana indeed is supporting Ishmeet and so are many from his community, still no one can blame us for that.
If being blind supporters was indeed a wrong cause, then how did such undeserving candidates like Sandeep and Prashant Tamang become Indian Idols in place of Karunya and Amit Paul, respectively? The truth is there for everyone to see. Same was the case with Debojit last year in Saregamapa, was he better than the other guy..? No.. The Saregamapa organisers thru Shaan themselves play the region card again n again.

Why is everyone is getting over-excited about this thing? The facts are simple. Ishmeet is in the show not because of his talent but because of all the votes coming in from Punjab. Although it cannot be ignored that he is improved quite a lot lately, he was one of the weakest performers in the beginning. And at a time when stronger performers were eliminated due to public voting Ishmeet stuck on inspite of weak performances.
I don’t think Harshit deserves to be in the top 2 either. But there is no doubt that he is a much more prepared than Ishmeet. Anyway it’t not much point arguing about this. The show is nothing more than a fixed wrestling match where results are pretty much predecided. After all several people have won reality contests but have failed to achieve anything since then. The same will probably happen with Ishmeet if not with both these guys. And I’ll be really really surprised if Ishmeet beats Harshit in the finals. No doubt Lata ji’s vote is going to Harshit. Now only if people get their heads straight and use the power of public voting properly we will have the more deserving out of the two win the contest.

And as for my ppl being Cab drivers in Cali , there are just hard working and the best part is that those cab drivers still make more then what u ever could
And ppl came here to work hard in life so they can have a better life I see nothing wrong with that At least they are not begging on the streets like you and your ppl all over India and USA

These programs are doing nothing but creating rift between states in the name of reality shows. if they are really talent hunt show they should never say provocative words like Jatin said “It’s a prestige of Punjab. If Ishmeet wins, Punjab wins and if Ishmeet loose Punjab loose” and the same is being said about Harshit for UP. It’s really bad. Whoever wins is an Indian PERIOD. Better contestant should win.

Hi ALL: SVOI is left with no contest but just a formality after the elimination of Toshi. Toshi is a great singer . he performed all the veriety of SANGEET. Really he was SURKA BADSHAH. Now the competition has lost its beauty. It is like a flower without smell as the Toshi eliminates.

Dear Friends we should not fight on these issues but the comments which judges gave to Ishmeet, and some times Harshit too, is not good. it hurts. as for as the voice is concirn, Ishmeet has voice for romentic songs and Harshit has a mature voice which suits to only Sh. Amitabh Bachchan and that is why he only sings the songs which are picturisied on AB. as for as punjabi is concirned they are also a part of India and they are more flourished because of their hard and smart working nature. so one should not compare. Vipul ji kuch bhi comments likne ya bolne se pehale soch lena chaiye. aur aisa kabhi bhi nahi bolna chaiye jis se dusro ko dukh ho. The voting pettern is never good as those who are voting for them they are not the right ppl to choose the best voice.

Jatin Lalit are best music directors in india they are From Pandit family and relative to Pt Jasraj one of the living legend and are from Maharashtra And Adesh Is married to Vijaita Pandit famous actress and sister of music duo and they are most talented judge so one should not go beyond dignity in critsing Judges they are great if they were Biased Sumitra would have won more over Let Great Lata ji judge finals she must be watching the show and will give one most honest result .

truly i think that all the judges except for alka yagnik shiould be kicked out of the whole competition.all of them are always rooting for harshitt but i have rarely seen them say anything good about ishmeet. and how come whenever theres a punjabi on the show they are always discriminated against! its seriosly not fairr.the only person who i havent really heard a lot from is alka. but the rest are just rude and racial. who the hell do they think they are!! you know,whenever punjabis are in a competition they hardly get to advance further but if ishmeet makes it to the finals why do others have a problemm!ishmeet has talent and ppl should come to accept that.i hope the judges know that everyone can see how racist they are! they suckk and somebody should kick there asses out of the show!!all my comments are directed towards the judges and to none of the competitors. to me both are fine singers.

I am a punjabi living in New Zealand, I belong to Ludhiana….as a matter of fact Ishmeet is our next door neighbour in India, my parents know the whole family, my lil brother n him went to the same school [I swear to GOD, I aint bullshittin on this]
Though he aint my fav, I appreciate him for bein brave and calm all along. He has proved the judges wrong regardless of whatever.
I’d also say he isnt my fav contestant. For me Toshi, Abhaas, Irfan are the top 3 in that order.
If I have to use region as the basis of selection I’d prefer Arshpreet over Ishmeet but I’d give credit where its due Ishmeet is a good singer brave and confident and calm bottom line. He deserves to win as he never had his dadi asking people to vote for him.

Harshit was good but now all the ppl who hated and gave negative comments about ishmeet should be fealing this one up there A@# !!!…..Ishmeet After what happend to u on this show you deserve this win ! …..this was not about music ne more as i was a irfan fan and still am but this show turned into a circus and it was turned into being Muslim ,Sikh , Hindu and then Regions …..and Seeing A sikh person singing melodius songs was just a shocker for alot of the janta of india ! ….and most of them didn’t like it because there not use to the idea of a sikh singing melodius song … that has to do with bollywood image and the way the show a sikh person on screen ! ….well all is good now india will know what a sikh singing sensation is all about !
