    This is not a sad song. He made it sound so sad, althoug surs and voice were good. Listen to Amanat of srgmp sing this song on youTube.What a difference.

    Harshit has a power packed voice. He sings in sur and never misses a taal. But that’s all about him..No originality, bad pronunciation, extremely poor song selection and an utter disregard to improvise on any song..

    You need to show how best can you sing a song in “your” voice..the reason why these talent hunt shows are tough is because the participants sing at the risk of being a copycat. When I hear Harshit, I feel that I have heard this voice and style for n number of times starting with Kishore ji and his shameless imitators in Kumar Sanu, Babul Supriyo and the list is endless. Harshit’s mentors have told him to copy and he is doing that and doing that very well. I am very much with Abhijeet when he said on Saturday’s show that he felt as if he was hearing sakshat Kumar Sanu (Madhosh dil ki dhadkan).

    Harshit will do a lot of justice to the “tribute” albums that release once in every month. I fail to understand why all the remaining judges made Harshit such a rage and it remains to be seen how many songs Harshit gets from the three music directors and how many songs Alka ji sings with Harshit.

    Harshit is a good singer despite of people accusing him of being copycat. He really needs to struggle and he has to furnish his voice. Sonu Nigam did the same, so many people accused him of being copycat of Mohammad Rafi. Things are different now.

    I think Harshit is the only contender to be a VOI and he deserves that.

    Kishore Kumar and Kumar Sanu are the standard in playback singing if any contender tries to sing like them, its a big achievement…So Abhijeet should understand this….
    Harshit has a melodious and soft voice and it is made for playback singing.

    Sonu Nigam became popular only when he started singing in “his” own style. And AS said in another forum what we have in Harshit is a proxy for Kumar Sanu.

    And as I said earlier, he will do well in tribute and remix albums..He has to develop an individual style to remain in the business long after VOI 07 and the immediate attention it gives to every contestant is over..Till now, Harshit has not shown any promise of improvising on a song. All he has been doing is aping singers. The day he starts doing that good, my respects for him as a singer would be there…

    Lata ji has constantly insisted that the participants should be made to sing unrecorded songs..That is the only way to judge the potential of a singer and what he/she can do with it, how much feel they can bring to the song and how well they can add to it as singers.

    I agree with Paul Narula. Its exactly what I was going to comment.Amanat from SRGMP was outstanding in “Ajab Si” . Harshit sounded like Kumar Sanu trying to sing a song sung by KK.

    Harshit is losing his touch and it seems he doesnt care much either. A beautiful romantic song like Ajab si was converted into some sort of sad poetry by him..and his face with all those contritions was even more painful to look at. I wonder why all the judges were so happy when Irfan was voted out and Harshit remained back to remind us of kumar sanu and his nasal voice.
    PS and J pls hear this song…its on all tha channels..u r really a busy person!
