Mirande sings Namak Ishq Ka
Next we have Mirande and she sang Namak Ishq Ka from the movie ‘Omkara’. My first reaction: Why would you pick such a song when you have those judges around? Shouldn’t you pick a more classical song which judges are most likely be familiar with and can judge you more easily? When she was performing, one could see that Parveen Sultanaji is looking clueless as to which song Mirande is singing. I felt that Mirande sang really well (looks like she recovered from her throat infection) but her song selection was not right. My bet is that she won’t be in top 4. What do you think?
Original version
Mirande sings Baghban
Mirande was up next after Iran and she sung ‘Baghban’ from the movie ‘Baghban’. I have never heard that song before so no comments on her performance. Listen to it yourself.
Mirande sings Dil Jalon Ka Dil Jalake
After Ishmit, Mirande came on stage to perform ‘Dil Jalon Ka Dil Jalake’ from the movie ‘Zanjeer’. Average performance. I guess it’s because she is still suffering from her throat infection. I really liked how Isha was bit diplomatic in her comments. And I really liked how judges acted civil about other judges comments. Instead of arguing with Jatin, Lalit told Mirande to take lesson from this and work harder. How I wish they would behave this way all the times.
Mirande sings Dil Dooba
Mirande was up next and she sang ‘Dil Dooba’ from the movie ‘Khakee’. Could she not have chosen a better song? There is no shortage of good songs Shreya has sung. Anyway…
Original version:
Mirande sings I am the Best
Mirande was on stage after Ishmit and she sang ‘I am the best’ from ‘Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani’. I didn’t really like her performance that much. What they call it, ‘harkatein’, could have been better. Also, I felt that she was running out of breath. Here’s the video for you folks to decide:
