Neutral Zone Voting Results
After one round of performances, Shaan announces voting results from ‘neutral zone’.
Since last two weeks I wanted to write about the nonsense that is ‘neutral zone’ details they have started showing.
My first question: What is Gaji smoking these days? Seriously.
Did he not learn his lesson from SRGMP 06? In 2006, they were showing these break down of votes and the result was that, certain ‘zone’ started voting furiously for contestant from their hometown instead of voting for the talent. I am afraid same is going to happen this time around and biggest gainer will be Ishmit. I believe Punjabis are comparitively richer community and they would vote for Ishmit not only because he is ‘Punjab Da Puttar’ but the way he has been put down by some judges [Lalit, Abhijeet and Aadesh, I am pointing finger at you.]
At current stage, you might want to rename the show from ‘Voice Of India’ to ‘Richest Community/Zone of India’ and be done with it.
What do you say?

Toshi sings Lagan Lagi
Next, Toshi performs ‘Lagan Lagi’ from the movie ‘Tere Naam’. Wow! Fantastic performance! He matched up the passion shown in the original song by Sukhwinder Singh. And anyone, who can match up with energy level of Sukhwinder Singh, is one talented singer; that’s for sure. A must watch.
Original version:
Harshit sings Phirta Rahoon
It’s Harshit’s turn and he sang ‘Phirta Rahoon’ from the movie ‘Killer’.
Now this is interesting. Earlier same song was sung by Toshi. So now we can do ‘apples-to-apples’ comparison between Toshi and Harshit. I have included both the performances below. Listen to them. Who sang it better?
In my humble opinion, I don’t know who sang it better. They both sounded good and different from each other. Though I prefer Harshit’s rendition because of his voice. What’s your choice?
And Abhijeet, it does not make sense for you to say that Harshit has one of the best voice when in previous episode you complained that Harshit doesn’t have his own unique voice. And yes, standing up and shouting makes you look stupid. [Look at Alka, she never gets up from her seat and she comes out as more intelligent than all 4 of you.]
Toshi’s version:
Ishmit sings Tauba Tauba
Next, we have Ishmit on stage and he sang ‘Tauba Tauba’ from the movie ‘Kaal’. Hm….this song was sung by 4 different singers and I guess it will be difficult for one singer to do full justice to it. On top of that, song is full of energy and Ishmit’s past record with these kind of songs is not so good. Still, Ishmit did fairly good job. 7 out of 10 from me.

Abhaas sings Yeh Honsla
Abhaas was first to perform on stage and he sang one of my most favorite song ‘Yeh Honsla’ from the movie ‘Dor’.
Even though Abhaas sang well, somehow I couldn’t connect with his performance. The original song portrays pain, desperation and hope. Somehow for me, Abhaas couldn’t get all those emotions in this performance. May be it is because I have heard the original song way too many times. May be it is because the original song had two singers and it’s difficult for one person to sing and do full justice. Well… what do you think? Did you like his performance?
