Abhilasha Elimination on 13th October Episode
First of all, sorry for uploading videos of 13th October Episode so late. The reason was that the source where I get the videos did not upload them till Sunday morning, hence the delay.
Anyway, the episode started with the elimination which did not happen yesterday. Irfan, Priyani and Abhilasha are in chakrawat and it’s Abhilasha who gets eliminated. Not only did Abhilasha not cry, she accepted the elimination with a smile on her face. [Reminds me of the song 'Tum Itna Jo Muskura Rahe Ho, Kya Gum Hai Jisko Chupa Rahe Ho..]
All the ‘Abhilasha is immmature’ comments we kept hearing about Abhilasha so far, it was a very mature reaction when it was her turn to leave the stage. Shaan and Abhilasha sang the song ‘Shona’ (from the movie Ta Ra Rum Pum) and it was a great performance! Though I was bit harsh in my comments when she said that ‘wild card round is not fair’, I was sad to see her go. Good luck, Abhilasha.

Once again, we hear about people making multiple votes for a single candidate. I hope VOI is paying attention. I know people have been complaining about this to newspapers in India.

I feel so sad that abhilasha has been eliminated . She was right to say that the wildcard round is not fair because she didnt get another turn for her like toshi, abbhas or priyani. What about her . Shouldnt she get one chance. But i must say it was quite a mature move for Abhilasha to keep a smile on her face even when she was eliminated. By the way did anyone notice that the judges , shaan and gajji didnt pay attention to Abhilashas elimination and ignored her as if she was a peice of scrap even when she was taking judges aashirvaad they didnt really care and wanted to get on with the show. What about Alka Yagnik and Abhijeet though they said they wanted abhilasha to be the VOI. Well i guess ye duniya kabhi bhi ek jaise nahi reheti. Kabhi iske favour mein to kabhi uske ( A direction to monster priyani). bY the way Irfan should have eliminated instead of Abhilasha. All i know that hte star voice of india isnt the only thing left to reach her carrer in singing and perhaps the person who becomes VOI doesnt get in the industry . Its all about hardwork that abhilasha needs . ONCE SHE GETS THAT SHE READY TO ROCK . i AMvery diappointed that abhilasha is not selected though. Par haar nahi maana ABHILASHA! kYONKI JEET TO TUMHARI HI HONI HAI.
Abhilasha didnt deserve going out. she isnt any less than any other contestant in the show.
And its a sad fact that girls get eliminated earlier than boys.Sumitra & Priyani saw the same (though priyani made a comback).Arshpreet wasnt bad 2, she sang very nicely after she got a wildcard entry.
Its disheartening to see that talented girls have to leave just coz people would prefer to vote for male contestants.

My perception of Alka and Abhijeet’s non-reaction is that first: Alka would have openly cried had she embraced Abhilasha and she probably felt guilty because of being one of instigator’s in the Wild Card Entry thing. Abhijeet also probably was just too emotional and didn’t have the guts to say anything (too guilty).
Anyways, it was good to see Jatin however come to stage and embrace the little nightingale.
Abhilasha with the help of her dad will very soon shine!!! She just has an amazing playback voice!Her duet with Shaan was awesome….

Well im happy Abhilasha is finally eliminated… though she had to be elimintaed the time Priyani was out before the wild card stuff….no doubt she sang the song Tu Chanda meon chandni amazingly…but later her performances wer nt upto the mark and her high pitch shrieked when she took higher notes and she breathes heavily and gasps while singing..thts not accepted while singing…. n Toshi is back again in his form…Ishmit was at his best in the last 2 episodes..Priyani was outstanding but both Abhilasha n Priyani rocked the duet on 12th…it was mindblowing… Also Irfan n Toshi and Irfan n Abhas duo rocked big time…..hats off to Irfan Toshi and Abhas… Rani truely said Abhas deserves to be the VOI…
Abhilasha was better than Priyani and Ahbaas in the duets … the judges should be smacked, they are ignoring the original four in favor of the returnees …..

Please go and listen to all the songs that Abhilasha sang. Shreya always breathes heavily and is accepted. Abhilasha has had problems with her voice sometimes. However on most occasions she gave tremenous performance. Anyways you are entitled to your views.
I am sure Abhilasha will be back very soon with lots of surprises for her fans. She has potential to be a true playback singer and has been the best amongst the female contestant.

Dear abhilasha fans, it all started with Toshi coming back (which she had opposed in the first place) if it wasnt for him and his cry baby act to get back on the show Abhilasha would have made it to the final 2. Im also a very big fan of Abhilasha. It was truly sad to see her getting eliminated. Abhilasha deserved to become VOI because she has such a gifted voice and natural talent. She didnt deserve to get eliminated, she’s the best among the lot. Hope she does well in the future, she has terrific talent.

I am sure she had would have truly blown away the two judges with her classical numbers!!!or any old numbers this weekend which can master so well.
Yes, she could sing any tough numbers quite easily. Admit she wasn’t up to mark on few occasions, but she had been under extreme pressure from the negative judges. Why else the free spirited girl was so good in the audition when there was no-one to put her down. Just because they wanted their fav’s to do well; Abhilasha did not get the janta votes because of the judges stupid & negative comments. I don’t believe the judges were at all fair to her, even Alka didn’t live up to her promise!!!!
Anyways, Will be half-heartedly watching the episode this weekend.

Hello Abhilasha’s fans…
She wanted me to share that she feels lucky that you have all taken the time to put this blog together. It inspires and motivates her to not give up and she promises all of you that she will be back.
For now she is back in college trying to cram up for her 12th board exams. As soon as she is done she will start looking at offers to get into the music industry in Mumbai..and she says that when she comes out with her music that you all be there to support her and keep reminding her of her spirit.

Personally, I hate the wildcard entry myself but as things go..this is still reality on-screen drama which mainly wants to increase the viewing for the network and so they will use any gimmic to increase viewership.
But as long as people are still talking about Abhi..she can be back easily..:)

ABHILASHA’s elimination is very bad.
She has very good texture of voice. I felt very sad when SUMITRA was eliminated and again now I am feeling bad.I think I need not watch VOI as its nothing for me with out these two talents.
I think Abhilasha and Sumitra should get some chances in film industry.

Abhi, please get back to singing…..Whereever you are…..Personally, I’ve switched over from Star VOI after Abhi’s elimination……The program is such a farce….Zee Sa rega ma conducted itself with much more dignity. VOI is a big farce…Gajendra is not a music lover but just a smart businessman.
I am really angered by the fact that Abhilasha has been eliminated in the 13th october episode. The anguish and the anticipation caused from Friday has ended with Abhilasha getting kicked out. I mean what injustice of Star Plus is this to thee fact that they are down right partial to all the contestants. It seems that due to the public half the times Toshi is the one who is sitting in the limelight and the others just get shunned. Why have voting at all if Star favours Toshi and Priyani and introduce Wild Card entries because Toshi was out? When Alka had introduced the wild card idea she should have made sure that it was done to give everyone equal chance and not be dominant over the initial top four Ishmeet, Irfan, Abhilasha and Harshit. After all they have done their duty in singing and come to the top four. The wild card intervention is not at all befitting Star. It is unfair on Abhilasha to not give her a sexond chance. Where are all those people who stood up for Toshi and Sumitra? Now why didnt they even breathe a word when Abhilasha got eliminated. If the idea was really to select a few people like Toshi, why have public voting at all? You should give the title of Star Voice to Toshi directly. Despite this on screen injustice Abhilasha was decent enough not to cry and she gave a befitting reply by singing very well ‘Hey Shona’. I am very proud of Abhilasha and I am actually shocked that star would mess up the show just because of some temporary emotions which sprung up when Toshi was eliminated. Why if the wild card entry hadnt been introduced there would have been a just end to the show but ow that the top four i mentioned did not have appeared to get a second chance I think star plus has reached their lowest limits. One should take a leaf from Sony’s book why their ‘ Indian Idol’ was such a success- it’s simple They may not have had very best contestents but they were fair to all the contestants. It would be nice and just if Star Plus would give Ishmeet, Abhilasha, Irfan and Harshit a second chance when they get eliminated too or I am failing Star Plus and will be forced to believe that Star Plus has messed up a good reality show and will never show interest in it again. This will also make Star Plus lose many of its viewers from south and North as well. I am sure that Star will not want the remaining people in south to stop watching their shows. I hope star plus and the esteemed judges who have atleast som power over the show read this and do the needful. I had to point out the injustice as I was very sad when Abhilasha was eliminated.
My previous comment was not against Toshi but was pointing out the fact that Star has been playing with the arms of law as far as gajendra singh has chalked out the rules. Why should Toshi come back when he was eliminated in the first place. I am sure Star was scared that the people would mobe them and boycott their shows due to that hartal conducted on Sep. 1st. I was very shocked to see Aadesh’s excitement at Toshi singing and eggin all the people to vote for him. Why? He has come mainly due to grace votes and so have the other participants from wild card entry. I agree Toshi and Priyani and Abbhas have beautiful voices but Star Voices have turned the show into a mere soap as usual have managed to get sympathy votes for all the wild card entries. It should have been stated that once the participants have been eliminated they have been eliminated but now that the wild card entry has come up Abhilasha SHOULD get another chance.I hope star will not be blind in their decision. It is not that it is only me or a few others who have expressed their anger on star’s indecent decisions but it will be mane lakhs of others who have not posted on this blog. I hope the Star coordinators take heed of these messages and concentrate on being fair and give justice to the fact that the initial final four were better than the rest. Star SHOULD buck up or everybody will get to know that they are brain washing the public as well as the four final contestants and turning their show into a pile of rubbish or a common soap. I hope the moderator sends across mine and many other similar messages across to the “fair” judge panel and Gajendra to atleast wake them up saying that India is angry at their way of conducting a one great show.

So I hear is that contestants with money to spend have been getting people to vote for them by either buying calling cards or appointing people to soley continue voting. Abhilasha’s family is a mere middle class working family who cannot pay 40,000 - 60,000 rupees and more each week to generate these sort of votes. Some contestants have their government helping them, increasing visibility of the show which in turn helps the show with its viewership.
When her father approached the Pune mayor for help, he rightfully responded that he would be most willing to spend government money on education and such but not to promote someone on a TV show such as some other local government appointed officers..So basically even if she gets a chance to come back..there is way too much politics internally and her father is not able to spend money to get people to vote for her…votes she has been earning has solely been on merit of people watching the show and voting but not anyone solely hired to just continually keep voting when lines open.
We could probably start a network for Abhilashas fans on facebook.com and capture our comments on the Wall on facebook. This will keep our discussions about shows ongoing and also help her keep her fans together for when she does make a comeback.

I’m about a year late, but on an off chance the right people might see this mail. I just happened to see Abhilasha’s “Rani beti raj karegi” song and went home to see rest of her performances. I normally don’t get to watch Indian programming. I felt the voice of India in general is a quality program. After listening to Abhilasha I thought she was crowned as voi, but to my dismay I got to the episode where she was rejected. I spent entire weekend to watching all contestants on the you tube. I must admit it is rather difficult not to become her fan, after all those difficult songs she picked.
1) I don’t blame Alka and Abhijit for not showing their emotion openly on that day because all three are their candidates and they thought of the three Superior talent of Abhilasha would have been finally recognized. It would be cruel for them to say anything in that situation to the other two that were feeling crummy themselves. The thing was by then it became a forgone conclusion that they were going to lose one of their candidates. They should have protested behind close doors to find a solution like they did that for that other kid, who is good but needs some more practice (Abhas — there were the other kids who also were sub-par including the guy who won. Yeah, yeah; it is a popularity contest like the dancing with stars in USA).
2) In a country like India people with South Indian names and females are not easily favored, as much as I don’t want to believe this. This is where you need to give a certain amount of power to the judges (they did bring back the other girl and Abhas!). We are still not that unbiassed people we believe we are. But South Indians being too docile this will rarely be addressed.
3)I truly believe that Mrs. Jatin Pundit and Abhijit (the other two judges looked too narrow minded and at times juvennile; we expect a little bit more dignified and mentoring behavior in these shows) and Smt Alka Yagnik could have done something apart from pleading (which they did every single episode). Now they should still should have a rematch between Abhilasha and the guy who won. She is just too good. They can call it “sweet challenge show”
4) They should personally make it a project of theirs (I saw affection in all three of them, which is so Indian. Instances like this when I see the kind of love and affection I feel proud to be born as an Indian)to promote her career.
Whatesle? They need to look at these rules and make them a bit bias proof. For each program the votes from the local audience should be given some percent weight and the nuetral judges should have some say (like they brought some people for the Abhass kid)
Finally, I congratulate to all candidates for doing their thing week after week. To even be considered by a program like this is great honor. They should take in that spirit. I know they all have alternative career paths they are planning also, because, there are new singers everyday and they can’t bank on that uncertain future. There is a lot of nepotism in film industry, most of these kids need to look at connections in addition to their talent. The winner need count his blessings and good luck and not feel too proud of his crown.
Finally, I have a feeling Abhilasha will do exceedingly well in her life as I see that spark in her eyes. I had to write this, VOI crown should have been hers if she was judged for her merits. She definitely lost out on her sir name. Sorry to point that!
